National Parks Partnerships

The UK National Parks asked for our design support and advice as they started a licensing programme for all 15 UK  National Parks.

Many licensed products are sold in support of heritage and environmental projects.  Over a two year period we supported the UK National Parks in developing their fledgling licensing programme in a variety of different sectors. It was designed to compliment their fundraising activities with key commercial sponsors.

We created a style guide of designs for the National Park Partnerships to use alongside their photographic library.   The guide picked upon themes like British wildlife and patterns derived from the landscape. The public use all parks in commons ways; to play, walk their dogs, birdwatch, picnic or simply to escape into nature for inspiration or solace. The guide was created to reflect that sense of community and love of natural beauty.

Why we are different

We design with a social purpose. We generate income for ourselves and others by adding value and creating the special.  Through out thefirst lockdown we have supported National Park Partnership develop their licensing partnerships. For example  Harper Collins  have created  guides to help us all  rediscover the beauty of the British landscape on our doorstep.

We are  design researchers. We worked with NPP to colllaborate  on two bids to explore the well-being value of walks. We think design should respond to changes in social needs. We seek to understand the user’s experience and involve them in the product development process..

We look at licensing a little differently.
